Held in conjunction with the Utility Management Conference, the AWWA/WEF Young Professionals (YP) Summit is the premier water and wastewater industry event for young professionals. EMA’s David Selby attended the conference, which was recently held in Nashville, to learn, create, and share ideas that will help shape the future of water.
When asked about his experience at the YP Summit, David had no shortage of praise for the event. “This week served as an immersive boot camp of professional development and networking,” he noted, “and my only regret is not getting involved with my local YP Section and industry conferences earlier.”
AWWA and WEF young professionals engage in programs and connect with each other through Association events and their local Section, which helps them advance their career in the water and wastewater industries.
David Selby is a Project Engineer at EMA, applying his skills and knowledge to SCADA Master Planning and Upgrade projects with utilities throughout the country.
