EMA Practice Group Manager Jack Geisenhoff and Columbia (SC) Water Operations Supervisor David Wiman presented Columbia Water Operations: Empowered Employees and Increased Efficiency through Operations Workforce Planning. Jack and David shared how Columbia’s Metro Plant developed and implemented a plan to reorganize their workforce, resulting in empowered employees, increased efficiency, and fully utilized staff.
Retired EMA Consultant Bob Manross assisted DC Water Control System Engineering Supervisor Duncan Mukira and Wastewater Treatment Department Process Manager Elkin Hernandez in their presentation, Successful Implementation of a PCS Automation Project at DC Water’s Blue Plains AWTP: Our Fifteen Year Journey. The presenters shared the history of the PCS automation project at the largest advanced wastewater treatment plant in the world.
Held this year from September 29 through October 3 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, WEFTEC is the world’s largest water quality technical conference and exhibition.
